M/T TERN DAL JOINS TERNTANK FLEET – POWERING THE TRANSITION TO BIO-BASED SHIPPING
Yangzhou, China – 27 November, 2025 – Terntank proudly announces the
delivery of M/T Tern Dal, the third vessel in its pioneering Hybrid Solution Plus®
series, built by China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Yangzhou) Dingheng. The
vessel will enter a long-term charter with Neste, a global leader in renewable fuels
and sustainable solutions.
Marking the ninth vessel delivered from the same shipyard to Terntank, M/T Tern
Dal strengthens the company’s position at the forefront of sustainable shipping.
Designed specifically for transporting renewable feedstocks and bio-based
products, the vessel plays a vital role in decarbonising supply chains and
supporting the energy transition.
Equipped with a methanol-ready engine, hybrid battery pack, shore power
connection, and wind-assisted propulsion, M/T Tern Dal exemplifies Terntank’s
commitment to continuous innovation and measurable climate action.
“M/T Tern Dal represents more than another vessel delivery – it’s a symbol of
progress” say owners Tryggve Möller, Rigmor Möller, John Sten and Annika
Kristensson. “Each ship in the Hybrid Solution Plus series brings us closer to fossilfree operations and demonstrates what collaboration can achieve.”
Following her maiden voyage from Southeast Asia to Europe, M/T Tern Dal will join
Neste’s logistics chain in Northern Europe, contributing to lower emissions and
more sustainable transport of renewable products.
“Neste has been an important partner in this journey. Together, we are reshaping
what responsible shipping looks like – not in theory, but in everyday operations,” the
owners add.
With the successful delivery of M/T Tern Dal, Terntank once again extends its
appreciation to the entire Terntank team, both the dedicated crew at sea and the
staff on shore, as well as the shipyard and partners whose commitment to
quality and environmental performance makes every milestone possible.
